BACK ON TRACK

lately i've been on hiatus in blogging.
a lot has been happening so fast and something's really bothering me. sighs. anyway, i'll be sharing my thoughs once again. hurray.
last night, i slept later than my usual sleeping time. i usually sleep at around 11 for school the next morning but since
it's already our sembreak, i could sleep whenever i want and the only thing that could stop me is me. haha. i was just tuning in to Monster radio, something i've rarely done since school started and texting with my fellow self proclaimed insomniacs. haha.
last night reminded me of those long summer nights when everybody was still wide awake until 4 or 5 am. just texting around or greeting each other in Monster. i miss those nights. :s
i wish sembreak's gonna last forever.last saturday, after the last day of our periodical exams (hell week :| ),
we went to Karen's house. the whole barkada. :) aww, i miss those moments with the 'original' barkada. and yea, WHOLE since
we spoke with Pamela Anderson Solon through their (the Ros') webcam. :D played cards (Killer-Killer. hahaha.), ate, and messed around. haha. fun day. :D
oh yea, while we were in Ayala, while waiting for the rest of us to arrive, Feliz and i decided to roam around the extension building of Ayala and we ended up in the
iStore. OMG i fell inlove with the iMacs, MacBooks and the iPhone the moment my eyes landed on them. if only i was a million times richer. haha. dream on. =P
haven't read a book for weeks.
i miss reading. :( i've been dying to read 'For One More Day' by Mitch Albom but when i had the cash, there were no stocks left in Natio. poor me. oh well.
As by now, you should have noticed my blog's layout changed. yea. haha. got bored with the green one and i don't know what's the drama but i've been craving to see some white in here. haha.
Halloween's near! haha. and the day when i celebrate my 15th year on earth is near to come too. :DLabels: barkada, iStore, sembreak
reviews.
6:25 PM | Saturday, October 13, 2007
i miss doing reviews. haha. so anyway, here goes the bomb. :P
first up-
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albomokey, so i promised to make a review on this book the moment i finished it but nah, its been, what? 3 weeks since read this book and up to now, i've made no review. haha. i'm sorry a'right? things have been crazy lately. so here it goes, the book is once again
another of Mitch Albom's inspiring creations. it basically starts with the end. and then, Eddie, meets five people in heaven that'll help him understand his life more and clear up the questions that filled his mind. i cried a lot. hell lot. and oh, btw, Philippines was mentioned on the early and later part of the book. and, heck, i cried so much on the fifth person. considering that i was reading the last chapter in school,
i was crying at the back of our room. hahaha. =P this is a must read. it'll make you realize things in your life. yea,
life.
second-
300 Spartans (movie) a.k.a. 300this movie is about
Leonidas, the Spartan king who led 300 Spartans in the Battle of Thermopylae. it was a battle between
Greece and the Persians who were led by Xerxes, the son of Darius the Great who also led the Persians in the Battle of Marathon wherein the Greeks won. this is actually our topic in World History, the Greek Civilization.
i love the Greek civilization. :P and its really nice to see the people you are memorizing on TV. oh god, Xerxes was so gay. hahaha. :P the movie was really amazing, although there were some parts wherein it was very obvious it was computerized. but the fights scenes were very awesome especially in the parts wherein it goes slow motion. plus, the plot was very interesting.
curse that hunchback. lol.
last-
Death Note (1 and 2)
i just saw this movie yesterday (1) and today (2) through Crunchyroll.Com. amazing movie. really! its about this book wherein when you write a persons name on it, the person who owns the name dies within 40 seconds. the owner could also specify the cause of death and manipulate the time of death. really amazing. plus, the detective,
L, who is investigating the whole 'Kira' (that's what the people called the owner of the book) things, is very.. creepy and cute at the same time. haha.
the way he holds his chocolate-priceless. haha. you guys should really see this one.
its a battle of wits between Light (aka Kira) and L. you'll never really know what'll happen next. :Dhere are the links if you wanna watch:
1,
2. but i think you'll need and account on crunchyroll if you wanna see it. :)
and yea, before i forget,
here's a pic of our costume for Intrams. (
Feliz on the pic. lucky her, she's got her costume on during Dance Palabas. :P)

it's Black Parade inspired and it went missing in action during our Dance Palabas. yea, i've got mine with me now. tsss. but we'll wear if on Family Day. we'll be dancing again. get ready for us, CIC. =P

Intrams 2007
9:19 PM | Saturday, October 06, 2007
October 4, 5, 6busy days for us CICeans.
it's Intramurals. after all the preparations, the day has finally come. =D
Day 1- October 4
we, Junior Company, were asked to
squadron the grounds during the Opening Ceremony and Part 1 of Dance Palabas together with the Night High CadTs since the CadTs (Grade 10) will be dancing. yea, we were basking the Sun's heat for an hour or two. then, we prepared our
Friendship Booth in the morning. it was our replacement for the supposed-to-be-Juniors'-booth-which-is-the-Jail-Booth which was cancelled because of this elementary guy last year who complained. OMG. for how many decades,
the Jail Booth have been passed to the Juniors every school year and thanks to Porter guy, we have to make another booth. just great. Friendship booth is where you can get freindship bracelets or make messages to your friends and ask the 'Messengers' to deliver it to your friend or crush (yea, cheesy love notes. haha). in the afternoon, we opened our booth, and surprisingly, we were graced by tons of Grade5 students. haha. yea, a lot of them came. our capital was 1k and at the end of the afternoon,
we gained 1,600! wohooo! :D and the guidance councilors were helping us a lot. =) Karen and I had a hectic schedule during the afternoon since
3 volleyball games were held simultaneously and we had to officiate all 3 of those since we were Volleyball officials. we were Linesmen, lol. but we escaped on game2 to have some rest and helped out in our booth and went back on game 3 since it was the Juniors playing. =) we still didn't receive our costumes for Dance Palabas this time.
Junior Company Squadron :) Day 2- Oct 5
we had games all day. we, Karen and I, officiated
2 games in the morning. we were scorers. imagine the heat baby. our booth opened for the whole day and this time, since cameras weren't allowed during the intrams (i know. urgh!), we made a colorful studio in our booth where you could have your barkada pics taken. haha. again, a lot of people visited the booth. and this time, with HS students since they wanted to have their pictures taken too. =P at the end of the day,
we earned a whooping 4k! yeiy! oh btw, my job at the booth was the entrance committee. haha. i stamped all the visitors in their wrist so that if they want to come back to the booth, they won't pay the entrance fee anymore. i had my own table and chair and stamp and stamp-pad and ink and i call it 'My Office' haha. =P we had the
Bandarito which showcased some of the bands of the HS students. around 6 or 7 bands played. it was okey but the crowd was not that convinced, not that much cooperation. and still, we didn't receive our costumes for our dance which we will present the next morning. only one section got their costumes, and not all of them got theirs. the seamstress said that the next batch would be delivered at 7pm so we had to go to school early the next morning so we could prepare with our costumes.
Okey.

Friendship Booth & Volleyball Officiating Day3- Oct 6: ONE HECK OF A DAY
we went to school early to get our costumes only to find out that our costumes
were not yet delivered the previous night. everyone in our batch was pissed. we waited for the costumes to arrive but
the Dance Palabas started and still, no costumes to be found. our teacher was already very stressed since she was the over-all in charge of all the activities during the intrams. she tried to call the seamstress but the seamstress couldn't be contacted. she won't answer the calls. everyone didn't want to dance anymore,
we lost our interests. and to think, a lot of visitors were there. it would be a shame to dance in front of them. but we realized that the
quality of our dance didn't depend on our costumes. we had to show the spirit of professionalism. (words from Ms Malaque's letter) but our hopes were still up that maybe, our costumes would arrive. 2 presentors before our dance, someone shouted that the costumes arrived so everyone was energized. we were all screaming and jumping only to find out that the news was a bogus. no costumes. period.
it was our time to dance so it was all like, "pabagaay na lang ni ug nawng". the Juniors were so filled with life.
who cares about those freaking costumes? so yeah, we danced without costumes and
it was very touching because our Ates, the Seniors, cheered for us and everyone supported us. first time in CIC history for a batch to dance without costumes. so yea, after the dance,
all the energy that was absent in the first 2 days in the Juniors was very evident during the last day. if it weren't because of the missing costumes, we wouldn't have been energized. haha, irony. so yeah, we watched the fellowship game of CIC-Cebu (our school) and CIC-Mandaue varsity in basketball
with much energy and screaming! yeaaaaah. and the
Bandarito was much more fun that the Bandarito the day before. the crowd was much more cooperative and lively. despite the costume mishap and pissed souls early in the morning, we enjoyed Day3 the most. =) so, that wraps up our Intramurals.
Intrams that was filled with mixed emotions. haha.
and yea, our costumes arrived
minutes before the Intrams ended. HOW GREAT IS THAT? :D-hell great.
Mi-Ann. Karen. Feliz.
