happy leap year guys. as if anyone cares. lol.
i'm totally totally addicted to American Idol and Dr. House. lalalalove~
awww. i saw David Archuleta crying when Alexandrea Lushington got sent home in AI this evening. awww. FYI, David isn't gaaaay. of course not. him & Alexandrea happened to be in a Star Search that David won. he was probably 12 back then. that's why they were close. HE ISN'T GAY FOR CHAUCER'S SAKE (lol. :P).

i heart DAVID ARCHULETA. lalalala~

Grey is my new White
8:31 PM | Monday, February 25, 2008

i have been outspoken about my 'Need to See White' syndrome as proven by some previous posts. well, oddly enough, i have unconciously been fond of grey. here are the evidences:

(up; left-right)
evidence number one: My Desktop background is grey.
evidence number two: The theme of my blogsite is basically grey.
(down)
evidence number three: My Multiply background is grey
evidence number four: My Friendster background & layout is grey.

weird. lol. alongside with my obsession w/ David Archuleta (i am Mrs. Archuleta, all hail thee!) is this. and yea, i've developed a liking to that Toki background which is, duh, grey. it's really funny. im pathetic. :P

this has been pretty much a very very terribly random post. thanks for wasting your God effin time. :D

what's up with my life? nothing much.
it has been a really boring week. boring boring boring.

updates w/ my boring life:

-yeiy me, i could now solve all the sides of the Rubiks. but now that i could, i'm really bored w/ the cube already. nada challenge. boring.

-im hooked by American Idol season 7 :) definitely. i even have a winner. friggin' David Archuleta. i just just just love him :) his voice.. so.. soulful. so nice to listen to. and good choice of songs. really, this guy, superb. to think, he's just 17. oh, and im supporting my fellow Filipina AmIdol contestant, Ramielle Malubay (fyi Ryan Seacrest, it's not maLU-bay. it's MA-LUU-BAY) not just coz she 's a Filipina but she really has a big voice. yea. i see a lot of good performers this season but i adore adore adore the hotness of Danny Noriega. god, nice to see someone who would stand up against Simon, cause they all just suck up to him. all hail Simon, yada yada. but having Simon around spices things up, and i like it :)

and for the record, Danny is hot and sexaaaay :)

i've seen an episode of Grey's Anatomy, i love it. i've seen an episode of Dr. House, i love it. :)

Amazing Race Asia 2's over. boo. i'll miss Marc&Rov.

yea, im obsessing on David Archuleta. his versions of Heaven and A Thousand Miles are already on my MP3, he's my wallpaper on my phone, i have Heaven in my phone, he's on my Multiply header, i've posted a picture of him in my account in friendster, he's on my 'Who I Want To Meet' o friendster. wow, the list is long. creepy. lol. and oh, the title of this post is the title of the song he sang on his audition in San Diego.

you know i love you, David :P

i'm super bored and the freaking internet connection's not helping. boo.

and yea, i've finished reading The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella ages ago. love it love it, just not in the mood to do review it.

next week is a bunch of nerves. talk about the Speech in Speech, screening in MMC, parasol dance in PE. oh god.

and lastly, i have a lazy ass.

over and done.

Synergy Week
7:47 PM | Friday, February 15, 2008

this week was so busy, tiring and fun! we had the Synergy Week wherein each subject area must come up with activities for us, students for the entire week. :D

MONDAY - feb 11, 2008
it was the opening of the Synergy Week. we had the Parade of Love Pairs during the assembly. it showcased popular love pairs like, Ariel&Prince Eric, Beauty&the Beast, Poccahontas&JohnSmith, Spiderman&MJ, Mulan&Shang, Naruto&Sakura, Boaz&Ruth, Malakas at Maganda, Florante at Laura, Rama&Sita, Romeo&Juliet, Cupid&Psyche, and last but not the least, Cleopatra&Mark Antony. i loooove Cleopatra! ^___^ isn't she a beauty? :D

in the afternoon, we had a film viewing care of the Filipino area wherein we watched an awarded indie film, "Ang Daan Patungong Kalimugtong (The Road to Kalimugtong)" by Mes de Guzman. it was about two Benguet children who climbs hills & cross rivers just to reach their school. it was a really good film and it also had some humor in some parts. haha, the film popularized 'saYOte', 'El Shaddai! El Shaddai!', 'Pangako Sa'yo!' in our classroom :P

*more Parade of Love Pairs pics here.

TUESDAY - feb 12, 2008
we had Ars Poetica wherein we listen to poems being recited by readers. the theme of the poems was love. aww. there was even this poem to a wife&husband read by Mdm Anne (Guidance Counselor) and her husband which touched most of the listeners. awww :">

WEDNESDAY - feb 13, 2008
it was the day for the Science Congress which was the contribution of the Science area in the Synergy Week. in the congress, the top 5 Invistegatory Projects from a grade level are being presented and judged by the invited judges. Eli&Tisha (Endurance) won 2nd place! kudos to you, loves. :D

*more Science Congress pics here.

THURSDAY - feb 14, 2008 ; HAPPY HEART'S DAY
Happy Heart's Day everyone! Happy Single Awareness Day, KarenRos. haha
this was the most awaited day, the day of the Variety Show. judging by last year, the Variety Show was the highlight of the Synergy Week for the students. especially to us, the participants. in the Variety Show, we had speech choirs (The Congo, Tarantella), dance presentations (aerobic-thinggy, waltz, hiphop ballet), contests (situational acting, extemporaneous speaking) and plays (The Canterbury Tales - The Pardoner's Tale, Inferno)

we had three shows.
8:00-9:30 - 1st show for grades1-3
10:00-11:30 - 2nd show for grades 4-6
1:00-2:30 - 3rd show for grades 7-10

we basically had no classes for the entire day. It was tiring but super fun.
i was part of two presentations on the show. The Congo (with Endurance) and the Pardoner's Tale, in which I was assigned in the music w/ Lea & Heather. being the music crew, we were given the rights to go upstage (lol) and be with the other crew members for the music and lights. yea, all the techie stuff. we were on the balcony over looking the stage and after our turn, we were free to enjoy the unoccupied balcony watching all the 3 shows while the other participants were just waiting in the CPA. haha. oh yes, the benefits. :P it was really fun working with all the crew people and Sir Eddie.

we really did put up one heck of a good show. and it was fun facing the kids (grade 1-3) in costume since they would want to touch you and feel you. lol. fame for a day. but it was really fun :D

FRIDAY - feb 15, 2008
we baked cookies in the morning! Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies for THE. haha
we had Brainworks in the afternoon. this was the contribution of the Social Studies and Math area. unfortunately, i was on of the participants. i was in the Einstein group with Caryl Arciete (grd9), Carmela Tamayo and Trisha Teves (grd10). it was nerve wrecking as i was sitting on the front row of the audi waiting to be called but when we were up on stage on our cute lil table, all the nervousness went away. yea. odd, but yea. haha. the Brainworks was really fun. haha. most of the questions, we, the juniors, either could not relate or could not remember. lol. good thing our senoir team mates were good @ math. haha. we earned 500 points (we actually only answered 2 questions throughout the game, 100pt Q & 400pt Q) and we were second place. haha. unbelievable. :P

we had an encore performance of the variety show for the parents afterwards. only this time, the plays&contests got cut since they were too long and they said, only those with an educational background could understand the plays. if they don't know Chaucer, they woun't give a damn. haha. but we still presented The Congo :) my father & sister watched the show and since there was also an encore of the Parade of Love Pairs, my sister looved Mulan and Naruto only that she kept saying that Naruto's hair was not the same. the kid portraying Naruto only had like yellow strikes on his hair, unlike the original Naruto who really had yellow hair. but the thing i can't understand was my sister was looking for Marimar and Sergio. hahaha. =P

well, that was our busy busy busy Synergy Week. i had a loooots of fun! :D

Even fools have feelings.
8:38 PM | Saturday, February 09, 2008

despite my hectic (i tell you, it really is hectic) schedules, i still try to find time to read books. i love reading books. its my escape from all the pressure, worries, problem and stress the world is throwing at me. last post, i mentioned about a book that i was reading for 2 weeks now, well.. i 've finally finished it. booyah. :)

Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks
i do remember seeing excerpts from the movie version of this story. i was so young to understand what it was about back then but i do remember the guy, opening the drawer and seeing the letters. how ironic, the only part i saw (i guess) and remembered was the climax part of the story.

well, back to the book. i love the story. although it became too dragging for me in the middle parts when Garett and Theresa tried to endure their long distance relationship. well maybe it's because i knew Garett was going to find out about the letters (because of the movie) so i wanted it to happen fast. haha. knowing myself, i know i have a weak spot for death of loved ones. id always cry even if i am just reading a blog post about a friend who died, a short story, a novel, a movie, whenever someone dies, id cry popcorns. but when Garett died, i didn't cry that much. it wasn't the typical cry i always have for those death parts. but the last two letters in the book (Garett to Theresa and Theresa to Garett) made me cry a hecka lot. awwwww. darn it. my heart really sank. especially in Garett's narration of his dream wherein Catherine said "who do you think it was who brought the bottle to her?" even after i closed the book, i couldn't compose myself. i really continued to cry.

god, Nicholas Sparks, you really know how to touch our hearts. everyone reading this blog, i suggest you read this book. if A Walk to Remember made you cry, i bet the magic of this book would also work on you, too.

Powerbooks @ SM Northwing
we were in SM Cebu this afternoon and mom gave me money to buy something i like since she wasn't able to bring us pasalubongs from India/Malaysia (she was too caught up with her presentations. no hard feelings. :P) . i originally wanted to buy a Rubik's Cube from Toy Kingdom but they still don't have Rubiks (c'mon Toy Kingdom! it's a toy kingdom for god's sake, where is that Toy??). i tried checking the clothes but SM is still to expensive for me when it comes to clothes so i went to Powerbooks. my first time in that store and i fell in love w/ the store. there are just so many books to choose from. i was even having a hard time choosing a book to bring home. i ended up buying The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella. but i am definitely going back to Powerbooks. and if you're having a hard time choosing a gift for me, try checking Powerbooks. :P

New Found Glory
i am so loving thier music. i love how they turn old songs to rock. the thing is, i'm familiar with the songs, but just can't stop loving their music. they also have a good choice of songs.
*bows down in praise*All Hail New Found Glory!

I've been noticing
this post is basically all about the things i am recently loving. hahaha. :P

Kong Hei Fat Choi
5:51 PM | Thursday, February 07, 2008

hi, hello.
another busy week for me. for us.

last tuesday was our eliminations for The Congo (Speech Choir). we got the 1st place again. wohoo. so, we'll be presenting it on stage next week. yeiy ^____^ all the hard work and late practices paid off well :)

tuesday & wednesday, we have been training for our chosen instruments in MMC. i chose the tum-tums. it ain't as easy as it looks. hahaha. screening is on march and it gives me the creeps. what if i won't pass? oh, tum-tums be kind to me. :P

next week's Synergy week. a lot of activities are in store for us students. and im gonna be a lot busier than i already am. but whatever, it's fun anyway :)

and this, is my current addiction:

(ps. yes, that's my hand :P)

the Rubik's Cube. haha. i still am learning it step by step. i first learned the how-to's to form one color, then the right pattern to get one color to make it easier to form the rest. i'm currently stuck to that since my rubik's is destroyed :( i am planning to buy another one but i can't find rubik's cube anywhere. psh.

i've been trying to finish a book in 2 weeks already. haha. see, that's how busy i am. i usually finish a book in 1-2 days tops.

so yea. that ends it. and oh yea,

KUNG HEI FAT CHOI!

what's been up?
9:18 PM | Friday, February 01, 2008

a lot. god, a lot.
i know i said i'd tell you everything of what happened in the past week but as much as i love to, i can't. i'm just to stressed and tired right now. pft.

well, last week, we had the Personnels' Day which was a fun day for us and the personnels.

(ps. sorry for the wrong spelling. hahaha)

then this week, we presented the Pardoner's Tale. once again, our props and costumes weren't that grand. did the music again. yes, i'll always and forever be the musical crew. not that i'm complaining though. :P had good feedbacks about the uniqueness of our Death (she had an entrance dance with her devils since we had a techno remix of beethoven's 5th which i just picked up from Limewire without even thinking what it was. serendipity, maybe. haha) we weren't the best but we did our best in that production and were proud of it. :] we are so proud of our Perfect Score in English for that! :D

i've been undergoing trainings for MMC (Marian Melody Corps) of our school. commands and whatnots. for two weeks, well, actually for a week since we were absent for a week due to all the practices and all. had our screening yesterday which was not as nerve-wrecking a i thought (i over-thought again,i guess) had the results of those who were accepted posted this noon, and saw my name. yeiy me. at least i have something to look forward to next year since i didn't apply for CAdT officer coz i was too lazy to come up with recommendation letters. haha. weeee. :)

right now, were practicing for a Speech Choir, 'The Congo'. class thing again.

and then there's this E!24/7 again. stricter this time. if we were caught speaking in dialect, our id would be confiscated and for us to be able to get it back, we have to write this not too long paragraph for 5 times. or ten. or twenty + community service. depending on the number of offense. this is the main reason nose bleeding is common to CICeans lately. haha.

and yeaaaaa, we had tutorials last Saturday. we tutored 14 kids from public schools. grade 3-6. i was assigned in the grade 5. there were four of them and i just love them. really. it was like an, 'awwwwww' moment for me. i never realized how fortunate i am this much. i mean, getting a chance to meet these kids and how sweet they all were despite their financial status and whatnots. they were all to cute and polite too. i really enjoyed being in their company. and there's this student of mine, Ken. awwwwww. he's the sweetest. i really love those kids. i wish i could see them again. ^___^

so, those were the recent significant events of my boring life.
