Who doesn't love these masked men? I'm not a dancer so I am not able appreciate the art as much as a dancer puts passion in his craft. But nevertheless, I am capable of acknowledging good dancing. But the thing about Jabbawockeez is, the way they mark their performances with awesomeness is just so simple, anyone can understand. It just simply reaches out to everyone. You don't have to be technical or whatever to fully grasp the beauty of their performance, it's just by seeing it, you can digest its magnificence right there and then. Plus, I'm really proud of having some Filipinos on the crew. Such awesome crew. Their humor that they inject to every dance, let's their heart shine through.
So when I heard Jabbawockeez, along with Kris Allen (who was my bet on AI8, even before everyone else realized the possibility of him grabbing the crown. ) and Boyce Avenue was going to have a concert here in Cebu, I immediately wanted to go buy the tickets. But due to some circumstances, it became clear to me that I couldn't go and see them.
But God loves me He's given me a chance to at least see all of them, unmasked. The day they were arriving in Cebu, they were going to have a press conference at SM Northwing Atrium. Not many knew about it so I knew there wasn't gonna be that much people. So Feliz and I decided to go.
And so we were able to see them :) But only for a distance though cause the area closer to the stage was fenced off and was exclusive to media only, since, by sense, it was a press con. The press con ended in less than an hour. I thought that was going to be it.. But things got better. :)
Yes, I wasn't able to go see them perform live but the experiece of gaving them stand up just 5 inches away from you, I guess, would suffice ♥ I know there's going to be next time. And next time for sure, I am never ever ever going to miss it for my life.
